About the Business
Llanfair United Football Club are an amateur club based in Mid Wales. The club has three adult teams including a Ladies team as well as a junior set up. The club has seen a lot of success during the past 12 years and continues to compete at a high level within the Welsh pyramid. Run by volunteers, the club is a big part of the local community.
About the project
We introduced social media pages to celebrate the clubs successes and to promote fundraising events, fixtures, news and much more. This has been a passionate and enjoyable project for myself, as I volunteer at the club having also played for them and managed teams in the past.
Social Media Marketing
Social Media is a brilliant way to promote the club’s successes and to engage with other teams and supporters. We run a Facebook, Instagram and Twitter page for the club, all of which have their different uses. Twitter proves to be an excellent way of engaging with other clubs and away supporters whilst Facebook and Instagram is a great way of engaging with local fans of Llanfair United. We recently re-branded the social media content to give the club a clean cut look on social media which has proven to be very popular amongst players and supporters.
Overview
Llanfair United Football Club now have a clear and recognisable brand that stands out from the crowd on social media. Engagement with fans is high and the posts provide important information to supporters. The website is a simple CMS system but perfect for a football club to record results and stats.
